Horizon
Rinde Eckert finds inspiration in the life and writings of Reinhold Niebuhr, a German-American theologian. He was brought before the House Committee on Un-American Activities during the McCarthy era, and his testimony was "somewhat obsequious," Eckert says.

Through the words, the eyes and the life of an imagined theologian, who, unlike Niebuhr, does deliver the scathing rebuke to the McCarthyites, who is subsequently branded and blacklisted, Horizon seeks to address some of the cogent ethical and spiritual questions of our age. Horizon will be produced by the Paul Dresher Ensemble.
